Catching all the attention is the latest buzz from Intel Atom Z600 chip, designed to power smartphones this first Moorestown processor is one of a kind development.

Intel considers it to be one of its finest productions. It works on a 45nm process, and features low power overheads, making it suitable for mobile devices – tablets, especially smartphones.

In addition to this it comes with built-in features such as ten days of standby power, six hours of 3G talk, five hours of web browsing, and even four hours of full HD 1080p video. This Moorestown processor delivers performance simultaneously taking care of power requirements, according to Intel.

Belli Kuttanna, Chief Intel Atom processor architect said, “After we delivered the first-generation Intel Atom processor with 10x thermal power reduction, we challenged ourselves to achieve 50x power reduction at the platform level.”

This may hint to a shift of Intel from its Arm based processor. But the task at hand suggests that it will be difficult to convince the mobile manufacturers to switch from their current plan.
