Honestly, no words can truly describe what you’re about to experience in what should have been a last thought, poorly executed mobile game. Dead Space is anything but, and sets the bar for how advanced these games can actually be. The screenshots don’t do the game justice in the graphics department. You really need to see the game in motion to fully appreciate what EA has brought to the table. That combined with console-quality voice acting and excellent sound effects makes for an extremely immersive game. As for scares, you will definitely jump out of your seat. Headphones really bring the scares to life, so wearing them would be recommended. I have to say that the moments where nothing is happening are the worst, because you never know when a creature will jump out at you and get you in a grapple. As for gameplay, I have no issues. EA has put together a brilliant system that allows for no onscreen buttons. You read me right. Apart from the pause menu, you will see no onscreen buttons in this game. Gone are those moments where you thought there were too many of them cluttering your tiny iPhone screen. Everything has been seamlessly integrated into the character and the environment, allowing for the player to see the entire screen during gameplay. It’s probably the best control scheme on the platform yet. As for story, it’s a truly compelling one in which…just kidding. Did you really think I’d include spoilers? Just know you will be really involved with everything that is going on in the game.
Sure, it’s 6.99. Not exactly pocket change in this economy. Save up your pennies though, because this game is worth every one of them. If you have the means, click “download” now.
